Depot I from Klapý

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The custodian of Klapý I (also hoard I of Klapý ) is a hoard of Early Bronze Age Unetice culture of Klapý in Ústecký kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. Today the depot is in the Litoměřice Museum .

Find history

The depot was discovered in 1938 to the east of Klapý on a steep slope of the Hazmburk mountain while digging up soil. The site is above the Podhora farm just above the path to Hazmburk Castle. It is possible that the depot had not been deposited here, but was relocated secondary by a landslide. However, since the individual objects were close together, the displacement cannot have been very large.

A second depot dating to the late Bronze Age as well as numerous individual finds of bronze objects from the early and late Bronze Age come from the vicinity .

composition

The depot consists of seven bronze objects : a ridge hatchet , four heel hatchets and two arm rings . The sales axes are raw castings. They do not come from the same form, but differ from one another. The two arm rings are made the same. They are formed from a rod with a circular cross-section and have tapered and overlapping ends. The decor consists of grooves. An arm ring is deformed (possibly recently).
