from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Očihov Depot I (also Hortfund I from Očihov ) was a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Očihov in Ústecký kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is probably no longer preserved today.

Find history

The depot was probably discovered about 500 m north of Očihov before 1878 while plowing. The site is on the edge of a lowland at the confluence of the Blšanka and Valovský potok . The floor of the site was colored strongly red and contained cinder and ceramics. A gold deposit and a single find of a hammer from the Aunjetitz culture come from here .

composition

The depot consisted of several bronze eyelet neck rings . They were sold as copper by the finder , so most likely melted down.
