Nové Zámky depot

The Nové Zámky depot (also known as the Nové Zámky hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Nové Zámky , a district of Křinec in the Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the Poděbrady Museum .

Find history

The depot was discovered before 1940 during renovation work below the former castle wall. The exact location is unknown.

composition

The depot consists of two solid bronze oval rings. There are two pairs that were made in two different molds. Clear cast seams can be seen on all four pieces. One pair of rings has thinned ends with a grill pattern, the other has ribbed ends.
