Slavhostice depot

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Slavhostice depot (also known as the Slavhostice hoard ) is a depot of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture , which probably comes from Slavhostice in Královéhradecký kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the Kopidlno Museum .

Find history

The depot was first mentioned in 1893. The exact date of discovery and the circumstances of the find are unknown. There are contradicting information about the source. The depot was initially registered in the museum as Slavhostice. However, the Perno or Berno forest is given as the place of discovery, but it is located a few kilometers south of Budčeves . Later the location in the museum files was also changed to Budčeves. In the literature, however, the depot is still run under Slavhostice.

composition

The depot consists of several bronze objects : two massive oval rings, two full-grip daggers, a recently broken handle bar of another dagger , a fragment of an arm cuff , two (miniature?) Arm spirals , two deformed wire rings and three spiral rollers .
