Depresszió is a Hungarian heavy metal band from Budapest . The band released all of their albums on Edge Records , a sub-label of the Hungarian record company Hammerworld . The lyrics of the band are only in Hungarian.

Band history

In 1998 the three friends Ferenc Halász, Dávid Nagy and Roland Reichert started making music together. At the end of 1999 they were joined by guitarist Ádám Hartmann. Then in 2000 the band Depresszió was founded. During the year the band started their career with concerts in clubs and at festivals. After further appearances, Depresszió recorded her first demo recording called Messiás in the bikini studio of producer Németh Lojzi in 2000. While the recordings in the studio went well, the rather unknown film "Rock-Szomszédok" was added to the recordings. In September to October 2000 they took part in their first major tour, called "Új Generáció".

In November 2000 the band released the album titled Tiszta Erőből under Edge Records. After the release of the album, the media interest in the band increased and the band members began interviews in the newspaper, on television and on the radio for the first time. Shortly thereafter, Depresszió took part in a nationwide tour with Tankcsapda , where, in front of thousands of spectators, some people said they were one of the most successful partner bands of Tankcsapda. The band was particularly successful at the end of the year when they gave a concert in front of over a thousand people in the Petőfi Hall in Budapest on December 22nd , where the audience honored them with a party on the same day. After the tour, they performed more and more across the country because there was a growing need for their music.

From February 2001, the band organized tours independently, which went through both small and large cities. In the summer of 2001 alone, the band could be seen at ten festivals. They already had 3 fan clubs across the country. In the summer of 2002, bassist Roland Reichert left the band and was joined by Zoltán Kovács. Then the second album by the band Amíg Tart was released . They then played at other concerts and released the first video clip. In 2004 Egy Életen Át was the band's third album. The band also took part in several Hungarian festivals in the summer. In 2005 the band released their first DVD Depi Birthday , which contained recordings of a sold out concert in Budapest's Petöfi Hall. In the summer of 2005 the band took part in Sziget .

In 2006 Depresszió released her first single Még1X , which was followed by the album Az Ébredés Útján . In 2007 they made a live recording of another concert, which they released the following year on DVD DE 3,14 Live . In addition, the band's fifth studio album was released under the name Egyensúly .

In 2015 Depresszió played together with Kárpátia, Ismerős Arcok, Romantikus Erőszak on the Jobbik IT tábor.
