Kiss Maerth wrote the book in the Chinese Buddhist monastery Tsing Shan, where he had retired for meditation and writing.

content

Kiss Maerth advocated in this book the thesis that the different ethnic groups of mankind descended from different species of apes , which as cannibals ate the brains of their fellow species. As a result, the brain has enlarged, as well as increased sexual potency and intelligence: “A monkey discovered that consuming fresh brains of fellow species increased the sexual impulses. - He and his offspring got addicted and hunted for brains. - Only later did they notice that it made their intelligence grow. The result of this process is »Homo Sapiens«. ”Kiss Maerth attributed all of the essential problems of humanity, such as environmental pollution, to this“ original sin ”interpreted in this way, and predicted an imminent collapse of civilization. He thought he knew a possible way out: "Eastern wisdom, Buddhist meditation, abstinence from consumption and vegetarianism."

effect

The book was controversial and occasionally referred to as "pseudoscientific". But Kiss Maerth did not want to prove his theses in a scientific sense. He saw himself as someone who intuitively grasped the truth and in the foreword of the book placed his work in line with the work of Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed. The American pop group Devo was inspired by Kiss Maerth.
