Donna Kossy

Donna J. Kossy (* 1957 ) is an American writer and magazine editor. According to Wired magazine , she is "an expert on kooks who has a real, if sometimes uncomfortable, affection for her subjects."

In her work, Donna Kossy deals intensively with the lives and theories of people who are generally regarded as eccentrics, weirdos or crazy people and are often referred to in America as “Kooks” or “ Crackpots ”. In this sense, she has examined the theories of personalities such as Helena Blavatsky , Francis Galton , Oscar Kiss Maerth and Erich von Däniken in depth in her books . Bruce Sterling wrote of Donna Kossy's work that every science fiction writer should own her book on the "Kooks". The “Kooks Museum” project initiated by Kossy is “a virtual exhibition space with stories of oppression and prejudice.” Donna Kossy maintains close ties to the American religious parody of the “Church of the SubGenius”, to whose prominent exponent Ken DeVries married is.
