The Fish Club (original title Fish Hooks ) is an American animated series by Walt Disney that was created and broadcast from 2010 to 2014. It is about the everyday life of three young fish in a pet shop.

The three fish Milo, Oscar and Bea live in the aquariums in a pet shop. The juvenile fish visit a fish school, go on excursions and have adventures with other animals in the pet shop. Milo, a Siamese fighting fish , is the cheerful and adventurous of the group, while his brother and catfish Oscar is more cautious and reserved. Oscar is often the voice of reason. Her friend Bea is an always excited goldfish girl who wants to become an actress one day.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Disney Television Animation and directed by Maxwell Atoms , William Reiss , CH Greenblatt , Tom Warburton, Derek Evanick and Diana Lafyatis. The main authors were Noah Z. Jones , Alex Hirsch and William Reiss. Jones and Maxwell Atoms also served as executive producers, and Noah Jones also served as artistic director. Illya Owens and Ted Supa were responsible for the editing. Andy Sturmer composed the music .

The series aired on Disney Channel USA from September 24, 2010 to April 4, 2014. The series had its German premiere on December 31, 2010 on the German Disney Channel before normal broadcasting began on January 10, 2011. From 2011 Der Fisch-Club was also shown by Super RTL . The series was also televised in Turkey, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Southeast Asia.

Awards

The series won the British Film Academy Award for International Children's Programs in 2011 . In addition, one episode was nominated for the Environmental Media Award in the same year.
