Summer with Pauline is a 2019 French comedy directed by Ivan Calbérac .

action

15-year-old Émile, a gifted student, lives with his parents, Bernard and Annie Chamodot, who are a bit bizarre, in a trailer on the outskirts of a small French town. One day at school he met Pauline, the daughter of a well-known conductor and herself a musician. The shy Émile falls in love with her. She invites him to one of her concerts that will take place in Venice during the holidays. Emile's parents agree, but decide to go with him - all together with their trailer. The day before departure, Émile's older brother Fabrice joins them, who has quit his job as a cook. The journey is not without incident, but with the help of his brother Émile makes it to the concert at the last second. After a few misunderstandings and hurdles during their stay in Venice, the two teenagers finally get close while dancing on the campsite, but then Pauline's authoritarian father prevents a happy ending for the time being.
