action
Accountant Gebauer was too fond of literature. That put such a strain on his budget that his wife kept complaining about how little money he was making. It was then that he discovered a fraud committed by his predecessor, who had put the pay packet of a long-dead worker in his own pocket. Gebauer continued the business with the dead soul and even invented a second one. He calmed his conscience by drinking more alcohol, and by chance it all finally came out.
