The dream prince of Em (original title: Drömprinsen - Filmen om Em ) is a Swedish youth film from 1996. Ella Lemhagen directed and wrote the screenplay.

Fourteen year old Em loves to spend her free time in her playhouse. One day a boy sets the hut on fire. Before he could run away, Em could see him. A few days later, they meet and Em falls in love for the first time in her life.
Remarks
The dream prince of Em was the first feature film by director Ella Lemhagen . She had previously directed several short films. Among other things in the short film The Thirteenth Birthday ( Trettonårsdagen ), which also focuses on the thirteen year old Em.
After Der Traumprinz von Em , Lemhagen shot the children's film Tsatsiki - Squids and First Kisses (1999), with which she also achieved her international breakthrough.
Awards
In 1997 Der Traumprinz von Em was nominated for the Swedish Guldbagge Prize in the category of best film and best director.
