history

The show ran as a replacement for the show Wünsch Dir was with Irmgard Düren for the first time in 1974 and was discontinued at the end of 1990. Initially, a different moderator pair was used every week, later the permanent moderator pairs changed once every two weeks. The program was moderated by Uta Schorn and Gerd E. Schäfer as well as Heidi Weigelt and Heinz Rennhack . Lutz Jahoda later took over the place from Rennhack, who had moved to West Germany.

Content of the broadcast

In the program, viewer requests for various music titles from various programs on GDR television were fulfilled. However, requests for other excerpts from television programs were also expressed. In the program, skits by Rolf Herricht and Hans-Joachim Preil were shown , but also occasionally excerpts from films (cartoons, etc.). The wishes were linked by the moderators of the program reading out the names and greetings of the viewers.

On special occasions, the moderators addressed current topics within the program, for example International Women's Day or Republic Day. From this developed in the early 1980s the aspect that a certain topic was chosen for each program, about which the moderators then spoke in a relaxed and entertaining manner between the fulfillment of wishes or told information and anecdotes or even small stories. As an example, Easter or Christmas are mentioned here.
