Heinz Rennhack (born March 5, 1937 in Danzig , Freie Stadt ) is a German actor and singer .

Life

Rennhack trained as a carpenter in Schwerin and worked in this profession from 1954 to 1959. He then studied at the "Carl Maria von Weber" University of Music in Dresden and received his diploma in opera singing in 1964 . Rennhack played in operettas and musicals at the Dresden State Operetta and soon found his way onto television, where he showed himself to be an all-rounder in films, television games and shows. Since 1968 he has appeared in numerous GDR cinema and television films, such as the two children's series " Spuk im Hochhaus " (1982) and " Spuk von Outside " (1987). Rennhack had other appearances in the well-known GDR television show " Ein Kessel Buntes " and with his own TV show " Once again Heinz Rennhack ", which has been on the first program of GDR television once a year since the 1970s . With Heidi Weigelt , he presented the weekly program “ Der Wunschbriefkasten ” on Sundays , in which viewers' wishes were fulfilled via the screen. He was present on this afternoon program until the early 1980s and then cleared the space for Lutz Jahoda .

In 1981 he received the Art Prize of the GDR and in 1983 the National Prize of the GDR III. Art and literature class.

In 1988 he did not return to the GDR after performing in West Berlin .

In 1991/1992 he received the “The Golden Curtain for the Most Popular Theater Actor” award. He played u. a. at the Komische Oper Berlin , the Theater des Westens and the Theater am Kurfürstendamm .

In 1996, Heinz Rennhack dubbed the gypsy Clopin in the Disney classic "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". In the second part of 2002 he dubbed Clopin again.

Heinz Rennhack was an actor from 2000 to 2006, and from 2004 to 2006 he was also chief stage director and director of the Hamburg cultural steamer “ Das Schiff ” with an annually changing literary cabaret program.

In 2009 Rennhack played a leading role in the winter revue "WinterTäume" at Berlin's Friedrichstadt-Palast .

On March 5, 2017, the MDR broadcast the show Ein Abend für Heinz Rennhack . Together with comedian Paul Panzer , he was a guest on the rate show Who knows because something with Kai Pflaume , Bernhard Hoëcker and Elton in 2017 .

Private

Rennhack lives near Lübeck in the Duchy of Lauenburg and has been married to Annemarie Rennhack since 1967. The couple have a daughter (Romy Rennhack).
