Egon Eckstein is full of anticipation because he sees his old schoolmate Reinhold Sabel again after all these years, because they now want to keep their vow to share an apartment. Reinhold finally arrives with three large suitcases, and a medium-sized furniture transport also follows, with which Egon's small apartment would be pretty crowded. Actually, Egon remembered his friends as rather modest and uncomplicated, but this is in no way evident when they meet again. An eternal controversial topic every morning is who's it now with breakfast or cleaning up.
