Dera Ghazi Khan ( Urdu ڈیرہ غازی خان) Is a Pakistani town in the district of Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab . Dera Ghazi Khan is one of the most populated places in southern Punjab in the largest district of the province. The district has an area of ​​about 5306 km².

Infrastructure

Dera Ghazi Khan has many traffic routes to other places in Pakistan and India. There is also an airport located about 20 kilometers from the city proper on Sakhi Sarwar Road, called Dera Ghazi Kahan Airport (DEA). The airport has 6 weekly flights: 1 to Lahaur , 1 to Islamabad and 4 to Karachi . PIA is the only airline that flies to this airport.

On April 3, 2011, a suicide attack with 41 dead occurred in a mausoleum for a Sufi saint near Dera Ghazi Khan. Indeed, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility .
