Derince Spor Kulübü or in short Derincespor is a Turkish football club from the district town of Derince in the western Turkish province of Kocaeli and was founded here in 1994 as a company sports club of the city administration. The team plays their home games in the Doğal Çim Stadium . The club colors are yellow-blue. The club was renamed from Derince Belediyespor to Derincespor in March 2014 .

Foundation and the first years
The club was founded in 1994 under the name Derince Belediye Spor Kulübü (in German: Sportklub Jugendvereinigung Derince ) as a company sports club of the city administration. After the club was founded, the club played in the regional amateur leagues for a long time.
Promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig
In the 2011/12 season, the club ended the Boelgesel Amatoer Ligi (German regional amateur league ) as champions of group 11. Then they played with Beyköy Belediyespor for promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig . In this encounter they sat 7: 5 after the penalty shoot-out and rose to a professional league for the first time in the club's history. The first fourth division season ended in 12th place in the table.
Spin-off of the football division and renaming to Derincespor
In March 2014, the club spun off its football division and converted it into a joint stock company , known as Anonim Şirket ( A.Ş. for short ) in Turkey . Along with this spin-off, the club name was also changed to Derincespor A.Ş. renamed. The businessman Şahin Çavuşoğlu, who also became the club's president, acquired 75% of the club's shares.
