The von Dersch family was a noble family from northern Hesse in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district .

history

The first mention of sex took place in 1261. The by Dersch were Electoral Mainz Burgmannen on the Battenberg Castle and the Castle Mellnau and had property in Frohnhausen . Around 1487, Heinz von Dersch moved his residence from Battenberg to Viermünden . In 1496, the von Hohenfels family handed over their castle in Viermünden with their tithes , gardens, fields and all the inherited estates belonging to them to the von Dersch family. Around 1500 Volprecht von Dersch initiated the repopulation of Diedenshausen , which had been desolate for more than 100 years, with five farmers. His son Rabe von Dersch sold his shares in Diedenshausen in 1538 to Count Wilhelm von Wittgenstein . In November 1564, Johann von Dersch, known as a robber baron, murdered his neighbor Johann von Viermund, Herr von Hermannsberg. In 1575 Georg von Dersch died on a campaign in France; he was buried in Saarbrücken .

The sex died out in the male line in 1717.
