Desmond C. Derbyshire
Desmond Cyril Derbyshire (born September 10, 1924 in Durham , North East England , United Kingdom , † December 19, 2007 ) was a linguist who specialized in the Caribbean languages . He is known for his work on the Hixkaryána language , which is famous for its word order .
