Desmosedici

Desmosedici refers to motorcycles from the Italian manufacturer Ducati with Desmodromic and 16 (Italian: sedici ) valves . In contrast to the models with two-cylinder engines called Desmodue or Desmoquattro by Ducati , Desmosedici are equipped with four-cylinder engines.

The first model of this type was the Ducati Desmosedici , with which MotoGP races were contested from 2003 .

In 2007 and 2008 Ducati produced a small series of replicas of the MotoGP machines called Desmosedici RR in a limited edition.
