Detlef Henning Borchers (* 1955 ) is a German journalist specializing in information technology (IT).

Borchers wrote for Computerwoche , Handelsblatt , Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , today mainly for heise online . One focus of his work is the impact of large IT projects on society.

He is the author of several computer books.
