Detlef Dürr

Detlef Dürr (born March 4, 1951 in Hänigsen ) is a German mathematician and theoretical physicist .

life and work

Dürr received his doctorate in 1978 from the University of Münster ( Most Probable Paths of Diffusion Processes ) and completed his habilitation in mathematics in Bochum in 1984. Since 1989 he has been Professor of Mathematics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In addition to teaching, together with Sheldon Goldstein and Nino Zanghì, he conducts intensive research and basic work in the field of de Broglie-Bohm theory . He has also published several papers and books on this subject.

From 1985 to 1988 he was editor of the Journal of Statistical Physics .
