Detlef Kaiser (musician)

Detlef Kaiser (born December 8, 1955 in Senftenberg ) is a German concert pianist.

Life

Detlef Kaiser studied piano at the Academy of Music in Dresden in the class of Eva Ander . After graduation was followed by a postgraduate course at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with Vera Vasilyevna Gornostajewa and Mikhail Sergeyevich Voskresensky .

After winning a special prize as the best of 46 participants from 15 countries at the International Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona in 1985, Kaiser developed a lively concert activity. He gave concerts in the Semperoper Dresden, in the Gewandhaus Leipzig, in the Schauspielhaus Berlin , in Petersburg, Moscow, Budapest, Bratislava, Havana, Warsaw, Linz, Barcelona, ​​Limassol, Paris and Vienna. Concert tours have taken him to the USA and Japan. In addition to solo evenings and as a chamber music partner, Detlef Kaiser was also a soloist in around 50 symphony orchestras.

In 1992 he was appointed professor for piano at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden.

Kaiser has been a juror at international piano competitions on several occasions and has given master classes, including at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and the Paris Conservatory .
