Detlef Kantowsky

Detlef Kantowsky (born February 13, 1936 in Berlin - + January 29, 2018) was Professor of Sociology and Comparative Culture at the University of Konstanz from 1981 to 1999 . He became known through his research on Buddhist modernism . He was married with two children, he lived in Bodman .

Life

The habilitation took place with Ralf Dahrendorf . After a long research stay in India, he worked as a reviewer for the Asia Forum and for Buddhist magazines, through which he made the acquaintance of important Buddhists in German-speaking countries such as Ayya ​​Khema .
