Detlef Okrent

Detlef Okrent (born October 26, 1909 , † January 24, 1983 ) was a German hockey player and SS judge.

Detlef Okrent played for the Rostock THC . The defender played his only international match in the German national hockey team at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin against Denmark . As his teammates reached the final, Okrent also received the silver medal.

Detlef Okrent was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 5.038.061) and the SS (SS number 120.075). In the SS he reached the rank of SS-Sturmbannführer of the Waffen-SS in April 1944 . As SS division judge of the 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich , Okrent was entrusted with the investigation of the Oradour massacre , but ended the proceedings without any result. After the war, Okrent was heard as a witness on various occasions, but no charges were brought against him personally.
