Detlef Raugust

Detlef Raugust (born August 26, 1954 in Zerbst ) is a former German soccer player.

Raugust started playing football at Lok / Vorwärts Halberstadt when he was nine . He played Raugust from 1971 to 1986 at 1. FC Magdeburg and played three internationals for the GDR in 1978 and 1979, the 1: 2 defeat against Iraq in February 1979 was to be his last international match. He started as a right winger, but later moved into the defense. He played most games as a right defender. In 226 league games he scored 5 goals, in 1974 and 1975 he was champion of the GDR with 1. FC Magdeburg. He played 44 games in the European Football Cup, where he won 2-0 with 1. FC Magdeburg in 1974 against AC Milan in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup .

After the reunification, Raugust became a physiotherapist and moved to Upper Bavaria. He works in Oberammergau .
