Detlef Ullrich (born November 28, 1955 in Forst / Lausitz ) is a former German soccer player in Sturm and coach. He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .

Career

Ullrich played in his youth from 1963 to 1973 at BSG Progress Forest before he moved to BSG Energie Cottbus. He came to his first use on September 8, 1974 in a 1-1 draw against the BSG activist Black Pump . Also in the following seasons he was mostly used only once. Ullrich made his debut in the league on May 15, 1976 when he was substituted on for Lothar Schulz on the 26th matchday in the 0-3 defeat against Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the 68th minute . In the GDR league season 1977/78 he came to five league games. In 1980 Ullrich went to BSG Lokomotive Cottbus , where he ended his career in 1989.

From 2002 to 2004 and from 2008 to 2011 Ullrich worked as a coach for the second team at FC Energie Cottbus. On March 20, 2011, he was hired as the sporting director of 1. FC Magdeburg . He put the squad together and took over the position of head coach for seven games from March to May 2012.
