Deuchelried is one of six suburbs of the large district town of Wangen im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg . The place is about one kilometer east of the main town of Wangen.
history
Deuchelried was first mentioned in 1307 as Tihtlerriet . The village was first owned by the St. Gallen Monastery until it became the property of the Salem Monastery around 1318 . From the 14th century, the imperial city of Wangen acquired the area step by step through purchase (1467 Haldenberg, 1513 Oflings, 1583 Epplings) and swap (1587 to 1590 Bach, Käferhofen, Breiten, Hag and Haldenberg) and led it as the judicial district of Deuchelried. It was not until 1767 that Wangen was able to buy high jurisdiction in the entire judicial district from Count Franz von Abensberg and Traun . In 1802, Deuchelried and Wangen went to Bavaria before it became part of Württemberg again in 1810 . The municipality emerged from the judicial district in 1820. Deuchelried was incorporated into the city of Wangen im Allgäu on February 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg .
