The German-Hungarian Society in the Federal Republic of Germany (DUG) is a nationwide non-profit, registered association with headquarters in Bonn and a federal office in the capital Berlin . The German-Hungarian Society was founded on January 1st, 1994 .

The purpose of the association is to maintain and promote relations between Hungary and Germany in the political, economic, cultural and scientific fields.

The DUG has more than 400 direct members from Germany, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland, including numerous multipliers from politics, business and society. In 2001 the DUG took on the additional task of acting as an umbrella organization for regional and professionally oriented German-Hungarian societies as corporate members. There are also corresponding members.

The DUG is a member of the European Movement Germany .
