The journal Deutsche Acta Eruditorum , the full title is Deutsche ACTA ERUDITORUM, or History of Scholars who Understand the Current State of Literature in Europe , was an influential German-language literary journal of the 18th century.

It is a German-language equivalent of the Acta Eruditorum magazine .

Under the above title, 20 volumes were published by Johann Friedrich Gleditsch in Leipzig from 1712 to 1739 . The editors were Justus Gotthard Rabener (from 1712 to 1719), Johann Christian Schöttgen and Johann Georg Walch . From 1719 Christian Gottlieb Jöcher was the editor. The magazine focused on reviews of books; the articles were highly valued by scholars of the time for their impartiality and good style.

Up until 1739, the journal published over 1500 reviews, almost exclusively of scientific literature.

In 1740 Jöcher renamed the journal Reliable News from the Present State, Change and Growth of Science . The reason for the renaming was the large number of volumes already published and their lack of clarity. Another 18 volumes had been published under this new title by 1757. After that the magazine was discontinued.

A complete microfiche edition was published in 1993: ISBN 3-89131-095-1
