List of early modern magazines

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of early modern magazines is intended to provide orientation in the range of periodicals (excluding newspapers) for the period from the start of printing to 1800. An arbitrary decision is what a journal and what a magazine is. The exhibition catalogs , which appeared twice a year, were not included in the journals during the period themselves. The same applies to annals such as the various competing projects of historical relations , which were still fighting journalistic battles in the German-speaking countries in the 16th century, or the large collections of the Theatrum Europaeum style . They are not on this list.
