Andreas Stübel

Andreas Stübel (also: Stiefel ), (* December 15, 1653 in Dresden , † January 31, 1725 in Leipzig ) was a German theologian , educator and philosopher .

Life

Stübel was born in Dresden in 1653 as the son of an innkeeper. From 1668 he attended the royal Saxon princely school in Meissen . After graduating from high school, he studied philosophy , philology and theology at the University of Leipzig . In 1674 he received a baccalaureus and in 1676 a master's degree in philosophy. Then he worked as a tutor . From 1682 he was Tertius at the Leipzig Nikolaischule . He became vice rector in 1684 . In 1687 he became a baccalaureus in theology and private lecturer at Leipzig University. As early as 1697 he was removed from office because of theological questions. Stübel died in Leipzig in 1725.
