Justus Gotthard Rabener
Justus Gotthard Rabener (born May 22, 1688 in Leipzig ; † August 24, 1731 ) was a Lutheran preacher and between 1712 and 1719 the main author of the German Acta Eruditorum .
Life
Rabener received lessons in learned languages and history from his father at an early age and subsequently made a rapid career at the Leipzig Nicolaischule . In 1704 he began his studies in Leipzig, in 1706 he graduated with a master's degree. In 1714 he became an associate member of the Philosophical Faculty in Leipzig, around this time a Saturday preacher in the St. Thomas Church ; 1720 substitute deacon at the New Church in Leipzig, 1721 deacon and midday preacher at St. Thomas Church and 1731 also Vespers preacher there. Rabener died unmarried without leaving any children. Justus Gottfried Rabener was his brother.
