The German Fire Brigade Sports Federation (DFS) is an association for the promotion of grassroots and competitive sports in the fire brigade in Germany . She coordinates the German Fire Brigade Fitness Badge ( DFFA ).
Development and structure
The DFS was founded on July 20, 1968 by members of the company sports associations of various professional fire departments ( Bremen , Bremerhaven , Hamburg , Hanover and Berlin ).
DFS is organized as a non-profit , registered association and entered in the Hamburg register of associations. The seat of the association is Solingen .
tasks and goals
The aim of the DFS is to promote the popular sport of the members of the fire brigade with the aim of maintaining physical performance in accordance with the stress in the fire service. To this end, DFS, together with the AGBF Health Management and Sport Working Group, organizes fire brigade team and individual championships at the state, regional and federal level.
As a leading association, the DFS fire brigade provides and supports national teams in the disciplines of soccer, volleyball , triathlon , running , rescue and swimming and table tennis .
The association organizes the German Fire Brigade Fitness Badge (DFFA) .
