German fire brigade fitness badge
The German Fire Brigade Fitness Badge (DFFA) is a popular sport award for fire brigade members and is awarded by the German Fire Brigade Sports Federation .
Requirements and award
Similar to the German Sports Badge , which has been reorganized since 2013, the DFFA is awarded in the stages of bronze, silver and gold. The “bronze” level was the “minimum requirement for emergency service” until May 2013, since then the phrase “satisfactory physical performance” has been used for the bronze level, “good physical performance” for silver and “very good physical performance” for gold. The requirements of the DFFA are not differentiated between genders and are higher in the comparable disciplines than for the German Sports Badge.
The award takes the form of a certificate and pin. The badge can also be worn as a ribbon buckle .
Disciplines
The individual disciplines are partly tailored specifically to the requirements of the fire service, but partly without any direct reference to the fire service. One discipline from each of the three groups must be completed, the target values (time or number of repetitions or climbing height) vary with the age group and the bronze, silver or gold level to be achieved:

organization
The German fire brigade fitness badge was developed from 2007 onwards by the state sports officers for the professional fire brigades ( working group health management and sport ) at the suggestion of the working group "Training" of the working group of heads of professional fire brigades . It is coordinated and implemented by the German Fire Brigade Sports Federation . The inspection is carried out by the state sports officers or by authorized inspectors of the fire services.
