The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Personalwesen eV (dgp for short) is a German personnel consultancy based in Hanover . It has existed since 1949 and advises public institutions and private companies on questions of organizational development , personnel development and personnel selection . The offices are in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Leipzig and Stuttgart.

Objectives and areas of responsibility

The statutory goal of the company is to contribute to the development and expansion of a fact-oriented, efficient human resources system in the public service and economy. As an independent association, the dgp has no professional interests and is not profit-oriented. In addition, the dgp advocates transparent and fair aptitude diagnostics by actively participating in the design of DIN 33430 .

The tasks of the dgp include the assessment of professional suitability through appropriate aptitude tests (such as written and web-based performance tests , assessment centers and structured interviews ) as well as strategic personnel development (e.g. through leadership development programs, seminars , coaching and consulting services) and the support of organizational development processes for organizations of the public service and the private sector.

history

The dgp eV was founded on April 1, 1949 on the initiative of the military government at the time as a registered association in Frankfurt am Main. This makes it the oldest German personnel consulting company. The main objective laid down in the first statute was to develop a progressive and democratic human resources system.
