German Society for System Constellations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Society for System Constellations (DGfS) is an association registered with the Wiesloch District Court and recognized as a non-profit organization and one of the leading associations for family constellations in Germany.

Goal setting

According to its own information, the DGfS sees itself as a cross-professional association of psychotherapists , consultants in psychosocial areas and organizations, doctors, alternative practitioners, educators and other professional groups who work with family constellations or, more generally, with system constellations. This distinguishes the DGfS in its basic orientation from the two other large systemic professional associations Systemische Gesellschaft and DGSF , which represent systemic therapy and not constellation work.

“The purpose of the association is to promote systemic constellation work as well as related approaches and further developments across professions in research and practice, in psychotherapy and counseling as well as in various other fields of work. [...] The purpose of the association is achieved in particular through the further development of guidelines and criteria for further training in system constellations in order to guarantee and secure the quality standards of this work. "

The DGfS was founded in 2007. Its predecessor organization was the "International Working Group for Systemic Solutions" (IAG) founded in 1995. The office is located in Munich, Barbara Innecken, Tutzing, has been the first chairwoman since 2010.

Members with the chargeable recognized qualifications are listed in a database.

research

As part of the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 619 "Ritual Dynamics" funded by the German Research Foundation, a research project on the effectiveness and ritual dynamic aspects of constellation seminars was carried out at the Institute for Medical Psychology at Heidelberg University from 2009 to 2013 . The constellations were led by leading members of the DGfS. The randomized controlled trial is the world's first investigation into the effectiveness of system constellations under controlled conditions. The first results are available and show positive effects of system constellations on mental health.
