German Photographic Society
The German Photographic Society was an association of various associations in the 19th century.

prehistory
After the first association on "German" soil was founded in 1863 with the Photographisches Verein zu Berlin, which had the purpose of promoting photography, the "Association for the Promotion of Amateur Photography" followed in 1869, and in 1887 the "German Society of Friends of the Photography ”and in 1889 the“ Free Photographical Association ”, which later merged to form the“ German Photographic Society ”.
