The German Vilomix animal nutrition GmbH is a premix and mineral feed manufacturer based in New-Vörden, in the district of Vechta . Deutsche Vilomix Tierernahrung GmbH as a manufacturer of premixes and mineral feed is part of the VILOFOSS Group.
history
The company was founded in the late 1960s as a department of Lohmann Animal Nutrition in Cuxhaven . The name VILOMIX is an abbreviation for "Vitamine Lohmann Mix". In 1972 Deutsche Vilomix became an independent company, whose headquarters were relocated to Neuenkirchen in the Vechta district , approx. 30 km north of Osnabrück , in 1974 .
Wübbenhorst Tierernahrung GmbH in Oldenburg has been part of the group of companies since 1992 and the former company Cimbria in Hessisch Oldendorf has been part of Deutsche Vilomix's second production site since 1993 .
In 1993, Vilomix was taken over by the Danish DLG as a 100% subsidiary and is now part of the VILOFOSS Group. The ultimate parent company is Dansk Landbrugs Grovvareselskab amba (DLG), Axelborg, Copenhagen / Denmark, in whose consolidated financial statements the company is included.
In 2011 the third production facility in Haldensleben was completed and opened.
Locations
In addition to the factory at the Neuenkirchen headquarters, the former company Cimbria has been part of the group of companies since 1993 as a second facility . The branch is located in Hessisch Oldendorf near Hameln.
In 2007 the premix plant was opened in Orenburg (Russia), which is approx. 1,230 km southeast of Moscow , not far from the border with Kazakhstan .
From mid-2009 a new feed plant was built in Haldensleben near Magdeburg, which started production in spring 2011.

Products
The mineral feed produced by Vilomix is supplementary feed, which consists mainly of mineral feed materials and is mixed with the feed with 2–5%. The mineral elements , trace elements , vitamins and, in some cases , other additives contained therein ensure a balanced overall diet in animal nutrition .
Premixes, also called premixes, are mixed into compound feed at a dosage of 0.2 to 1% . Thanks to a special mixer and dosing technology, the Vilomix can guarantee a high mixing accuracy of 1 to 100,000.
