German professional association of ear, nose and throat specialists

The German Professional Association of Ear, Nose and Throat Doctors eV was founded in July 1951 in Cologne and represents the social and professional interests of ENT doctors in Germany in relation to politics, medical bodies and other associations and associations. Any ENT doctor resident in Germany can become a full member . ENT doctors resident abroad can become associate members. The association works closely with the specialist scientific society in the field, the German Society for ENT Medicine. The German Training Society of Ear, Nose and Throat Doctors, also based in Neumünster, annually organizes its own advanced training event in Mannheim .

Around 90% of all ENT doctors in private practice are currently members of the association. There are also numerous ENT doctors who work in clinics .

structure

The association is divided regionally into dependent state groups and legally independent state associations, as well as district groups. The seat of the federal office of the association is Neumünster . The federal association is entered in the register of associations at the Karlsruhe District Court under the name "German Professional Association of Ear, Nose and Throat Doctors" under the register number VR 489. Organs of the association are the general assembly, a full board and a managing board. The entire board consists of the chairmen of the regional associations and groups, as well as the treasurer. The German Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, Head and Neck Surgery, and the Association of ENT Chief Physicians each send a member with voting rights to the entire board. The executive board consists of a 1st, 2nd and 3rd chairman. He is elected by the members of the full board for a period of four years from among the chairmen of the regional associations.

The BVHNO is also a member of the National Association of Specialists in Germany (SpiFa) and has been the chairman of the board since 2015.
