German aircraft noise service

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Deutsche Fluglärmdienst eV (DFLD) is a registered non-profit association founded in Germany in 2002 , which is committed to the quantitative recording of all emissions from air traffic and their transparent presentation with long-term archiving. The DFLD understands transparency to be the graphic and numerical representation of the emission values of the individual flight movements in contrast to long-term averages such as those recorded for the continuous noise level. The Aircraft Noise Act , for example, stipulates averaging over the six busiest months.

The DFLD operates more than 650 aircraft noise measuring stations, 177 of them on behalf of cities and municipalities such as in Frankfurt, Freising, Kranzberg, Hanau, Mainz, Trebur, Wiesbaden and the Mainz-Bingen district. Flight tracks are also recorded, archived and linked to aircraft noise data in 31 regions .

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate also works with the DFLD on road traffic noise.

further activities

  • Camera surveillance of the final approach to the 07L in Frankfurt for the city of Flörsheim
  • Flight altitude investigation for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate
  • Investigation for the state capital Wiesbaden about the changes in the approach system
  • Development of new methods for calculating aircraft noise in cooperation with the "Zukunft Rhein-Main" initiative (an initiative of the districts, cities and municipalities from the Rhine-Main region)
  • Investigation of the flight-free time during the Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption

At the European level, the DFLD founded the European Aircraft Noise Services (EANS). The DFLD is a member of the Federal Association against Aircraft Noise and the Union Européenne contre les Nuisances des Avions (UECNA).
