The German publishing industry ( DIV ), headquartered in Munich publishes specialized media for engineers and technicians . He publishes magazines , books, online portals, newsletters and mobile media at home and abroad and is also a congress organizer and provider of communication services. Deutsche Industrieverlag is part of the ACM group of companies and is the name successor to Oldenbourg Industrieverlag .

history

Deutsche Industrieverlag is the name successor to Oldenbourg Industrieverlag, which was part of the science publishers of the Oldenbourg Group.

Oldenbourg Verlag was founded in 1858 by Rudolf Oldenbourg and was owned by the Oldenbourg family until 2004. Between 2004 and 2008, Oldenbourg Industrieverlag belonged to the Cornelsen Group. In 2009 he was part of the Langenscheidt Group. The publishing house has been part of the ACM group of companies since the beginning of 2010 and was renamed Deutscher Industrieverlag at the end of 2012. The activities of book and magazine production have meanwhile been combined in Vulkan-Verlag GmbH.
