Aloe silicicola is a species of aloes in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet silicicola is derived from the Latin words silicis for 'quartz' and -cola for 'inhabiting' and refers to the preferred habitat of the species.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe silicicola grows trunk-forming and easily. The trunk reaches a length of up to 2 meters and is 5 centimeters thick. The lanceolate, narrowed leaves form a dense rosette . The green leaf blade is 45 to 50 inches long and 7 to 8 inches wide. The green teeth on the leaf margin are 1 to 1.5 millimeters long and up to 7 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence has three to four branches and reaches a length of 50 to 60 centimeters. The rather dense, cylindrical grapes are 6 to 8 inches long. The lanceolate-pointed bracts have a length of 5 to 6 millimeters and are 1 to 2 millimeters wide. The reddish orange flowers are on 20 to 22 millimeter long peduncles . They are 28 to 30 millimeters long. Above the ovary , the flowers are narrowed and then widened from their center to the mouth. Your outer tepals are not fused together. The stamens and the stylus do not protrude from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe silicicola is found in Madagascar on quartzite at altitudes of 1900 to 2000 meters.
