The German Jiu-Jitsu-Ring Erich Rahn e. V. , often abbreviated as DJJR , is a German umbrella organization for Asian martial arts and modern self-defense . Its predecessor, the Reichsverband für Jiu Jitsu , as well as the DJJR, was founded in 1923 by the German Jiu Jitsu and judo pioneer Erich Rahn . Thus, the DJJR is the oldest German martial arts association.
