German adult education center
The German Adult Education Center (DEB) is a large, non-partisan and interdenominational educational institution with 50 locations in Germany, which specializes in training and further education in the health and social sectors. In cooperation with the Employment Agency , the DEB also offers language, integration, ESF and re-entry courses.
The management is based in Bamberg . The chairwoman is Jacqueline Erben-Schmittfull. The branch offices are located in Baden-Württemberg , Bavaria , Brandenburg , Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia .
Apprenticeships
The training center offers training in the field of generalist nursing education , child care , educational method care , special education , education , occupational therapy , social assistance , podiatry , physiotherapy and PTA on. All training at the vocational schools, higher vocational schools, vocational colleges and technical schools of the DEB lead to a state-recognized professional qualification.
MeSo Academy
The MeSo Akademie non-profit GmbH (founded in 2000) is a subsidiary of the German Adult Education Association (DEB). She runs a vocational school in the north of Eberswalde ( Brandenburg ). The MeSo Academy focuses on care .
GAW Institute for Vocational Education
The GAW Institute for Vocational Education Charitable GmbH (taken over in 2004) is also a subsidiary of the German Adult Education Association (DEB). The GAW Institute for Vocational Education and Training also provides training in a wide variety of subjects from the health and social sectors. Locations are in Bavaria , Saxony and Thuringia .
history
The Bildungswerk was founded in 1976 by Adolf Erben († 2019) and has had independent regional associations and various subsidiaries since 1993 (see above). In 2003 the German Adult Education Association and the non-profit DEB-Sozial Dienstleistungs GmbH were created. In the meantime, the DEB has taken over numerous similarly oriented institutions and integrated them into the overall organization. Today the DEB is an educational institution approved by CERTQUA according to AZWV (Recognition and Admission Ordinance for Continuing Education, carrier and measure certification according to §§ 84 and 85 SGB III) and certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015 .
