content

The short film shows the wintry Kiel from an authentic immigrant perspective. As in Kanak Sprak - 24 discrepancies from the fringes of society , the migrant utterances typical of the author at that time, condensed into a rhythmic artificial language, can be heard. They are performed by Zaimoğlu and the Kiel rap formation Da Crime Posse , who at that time also worked on the radio play adaptation of Kanak Sprak - 24 discordant notes from the fringes of society .

Award

The Civis, then still known as the “Radio and TV Prize for Understanding with Foreigners”, was given to the director and author on December 9, 1997 in Aachen. For Zaimoğlu the award was the first relevant in a series of numerous others.
