history

The “Deutz Choir” was founded in March 1946 by eight men, employees of the then still existing “Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz” AG (KHD).

Today the choir consists of over 120 singers. The choir sees itself as the “musical calling card” of Deutz AG and represents a broad musical spectrum. With the support of the company, the choir has made numerous concert tours to Europe, Asia, Africa and America in recent decades. In May 2008 the choir performed in the Chinese cities of Changsha , Dalian and Beijing (together with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra ). Deutz AG has a production facility in Dalian. In Cologne itself, the choir performed in the Gürzenich and the Cologne Philharmonic .

The choir today
