Dexter McDonald (* thirtieth November 1991 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is an American American football poker players. He currently plays the cornerback position , most recently for the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL).
college
In 2010 he went to the University of Kansas for the first time , but completed a red shirt year before he started playing for the university football team in 2011. That season he played seven games and made 17 tackles . In 2012 he attended Butler Community College for a year , where he played five games for the football team, scoring five tackles, one interception and one sack . From 2013 he attended the University of Kansas again. There he became a starter and played in all twelve games in which he scored two interceptions and 29 tackles. In 2014 he played as a starter in all twelve games. He ended the final season of his college football career with two interceptions.
NFL
McDonald was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the 242nd player in the seventh round in the 2015 NFL Draft . On 26 May 2015 he signed a contract for four years, where he was a base salary of 449,213 US dollars received per year. During his first two seasons, he was little used and played a total of only six games. In 2017 , however, that changed. With the exception of one he was involved in all games and even started several times. By the end of the season, he had defended eight passes and forced a fumble . On September 3, 2018, the Raiders placed McDonald on the Injured Reserve List with an ankle injury .
