Dexter Jerome Pittman (born March 2, 1988 in Rosenberg , Texas ) is an American basketball player.

Career

college

In his first two seasons for Texas, he put up less than 3 points per game and only played once from the start. In his third year he started in 24 games, managed 10 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and became one of the most dominant centers in the Big 12 Conference .

NBA

In the 2010 NBA Draft , Pittman was selected as the 32nd pick by the Miami Heat . Because he didn't quite meet the team's expectations, he was sent to the Heat's farm team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce , for some time . In February 2013, Pittman was transferred from the Heat to the Memphis Grizzlies . In late September 2013, Pittman joined the Chicago Bulls . On October 26, 2013, it was announced that the Chicago Bulls were giving up Pittman.
