Diocese of Llandaff
The diocese of Llandaff ( lat . : Dioecesis Landavensis ) is a diocese of the Anglican Church in Wales with its seat in Llandaff (now part of Cardiff ). It was a Roman Catholic diocese until the English Reformation .

The diocese of Llandaff was established in 560. Construction of the current Llandaff Cathedral began in 1120. The last Roman Catholic bishop , George Athequa OP , resigned in February 1537.
The Catholic diocese of Llandaff was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Canterbury as a suffragan .
After the English Reformation, the diocese of Llandaff belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Canterbury of the Church of England until the Welsh Anglican Church became independent as a Church in Wales in 1920 .
