action

First season

In Mexico City , children whose fathers are priests and who were born on February 2nd are kidnapped by a demon and their mothers are killed. Ramiro Ventura's daughter, Mariana, is also kidnapped and her mother, with whom he was having an affair, is found murdered. Ventura turns to the Diablero Elvis Infante, who promises him to find his daughter for a fair payment. Together with his sister Keta and Nancy Gama, who is able to absorb and control demons, they go in search of Mariana and find parallels to the disappearance of other children and Keta's own son. During the search they meet a group of female Diableras or Santeras who are trying to get Keta on their side.

One of the Diableras, Mama Chabela, herself impregnated by a priest and almost killed by him, gathers the children with her and pretends to protect them from the demon. However, it turns out that she herself set up the demon and wants to sacrifice the children to summon a powerful demon and change the world order. The team around Father Ventura and Elvis Infante confronts the demon and they manage to defeat him, with an angel coming to their aid. Ventura dies in the fight, but is able to save his daughter Mariana.

Second season

Father Ventura, who died fighting the demon, calls Elvis Infante and his team from the underworld for help. Elvis, Nancy and Keta go into the underworld and through a pact between Elvis Infante and the ferryman they can come back to earth. Meanwhile, the demon Ahuizotl hunts for people who have ingested the drug "Tears of the Demon" made by a Diablera magnifying glass.

The demon that Elvis Infante wanted to destroy years ago has taken possession of Tepoz, Infante's former student. Obsessed by this, Tepoz had also kidnapped and raised Keta's son Mayakén as an infant on behalf of the conclave. For Mayakén, who is developing into an angel, he needs the "tears of the demon". The Diableros set a trap for the demon with the help of magnifying glass and are able to defeat him, but he manages to escape. Nancy pursues him and meets the dying Tepoz, from whom the conclave kidnapped the boy. Mayakén is supposed to take up and kill the last angel for the conclave, so that the balance of the world order is changed in favor of demons and evil. The Diablero team invades the conclave but cannot prevent the portal to the angels from closing.

Due to his contract with the ferryman of the underworld, Elvis Infante dies and his friends bring his ashes to the coast. However, Infante himself wakes up in a world in the time of the Conquistadores.
